Why play the Weekly Lottery?
The Cats Protection Weekly Lottery is a fun way to help us provide unwanted and abandoned cats with the food, shelter and veterinary care they need until they find a loving forever home. The more you play, the more cats you'll help and you will have the chance to win one of our fantastic prizes!
How do I join?
Each entry costs £1 per week. You can enter online, by calling us on 01628 825 928 or by texting CAT to 70007.* Texts cost £5 plus 3 network rate messages for 1 entry into the next 5 draws. Repeat payments will be taken every 5 weeks.
*By texting CAT to 70007, you consent to future phone and/or SMS marketing contact. If you would like to play via mobile without giving phone/SMS marketing consent, please text CAT NO to 70007 (you will still receive admin messages in relation to your mobile lottery subscription).
Where can I buy my entries?
Online at www.winwithcats.cats.org.uk/lottery-play/step-one

What happens once I've entered?
We will send you written confirmation within 14 working days. The letter will contain your unique lottery number(s) and the date of the first draw you will be entered into. Hold on to this information for your records or if you want to check to see if you have won in the draws.
How many entries can I have in each weekly draw?
You can have a maximum of five entries per week.
For example, that's the equivalent of £21.70 per month on Direct Debit.
How will I know if I've won?
We notify all winners so there is no need to claim your cash prize. We will send you a cheque in the post within 14 days or pay by BACS to those who pay by Direct Debit. Winners will also be posted on the website www.winwithcats.cats.org.uk/winners
What could I win?
You could win one of 500 cash prizes each week. 1st prize £1,000, 2nd Prize £200, 3rd Prize £150, 4th Prize £100, 5th Prize £50 and 495 x £5 and don't forget you could win up to an amazing £25,000 in our quarterly super draw raffles!
How old do I have to be to play the Weekly Lottery?
You must be over 18 years old.
Can I play if I live outside the UK?
The Cats Weekly Lottery is only open to residents of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Can I play without signing up to Direct Debit payment?
Yes, you can pay by cheque or postal order, by debit/credit card or SMS. Please call the Lottery Helpline for more details or to enter over the phone.

What do I do if I have a complaint?
If you have complaint you can ring our Lottery team on 01628 825 928 or email lottery@cats.org.uk. If you are unhappy with the way a complaint is resolved please contact the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS). IBAS acts as an impartial adjudicator on disputes that arise between betting/gambling operators and their customers.
My circumstances have changed how can I cancel my Weekly Lottery payments?
You can cancel your Lottery payments at any time by emailing lottery@cats.org.uk or calling our Cats Protection Weekly Lottery Helpline Number on; 01628 825 928. If you prefer, you can cancel in writing at the following address:

What is the best way to play the Weekly Lottery?
The most convenient way to take part is by setting up a Direct Debit. That way we can ensure you never miss a draw. It also gives you complete flexibility with your payments. You can set up your Direct Debit here.
How do I add more lines to my current Lottery subscription?
If you want more chances to win call our Lottery Helpline 01628 825 928 or email lottery@cats.org.uk with details of your current Lottery subscription.
I've spoken to a fundraiser in the street/at a show, is this legitimate?
The fundraisers will have an ID badge that states that they are working on our behalf. If you are concerned please contact facetoface@cats.org.uk with the location and date/time that you saw the fundraisers. We have activity nationwide on a daily basis, so it is highly likely to be legitimate fundraising and they are licensed to take card details to sign up supporters.
How are prizes selected?
All Lottery players have a unique Lottery number for their entry into the weekly draw. These numbers are then entered into an electronic system which pulls out 500 unique lottery numbers at random, in descending order of prize funds.

How old do I have to be to play the raffle?
The raffle is open to all over the age of 18 years old.
How does the raffle help support the work of Cats Protection?
As a charity, we don’t receive any government funding. Everything we do, from rescuing and caring for unwanted cats, to neutering and rehoming, is funded by the generosity of people like you.
Can I sell tickets at an event?
If you are holding an event on behalf of the charity you can sell raffle tickets to people over 18 years old, but you cannot sell tickets in the street or door to door.

What prizes are on offer?
We have a fabulous 1st prize of up to £25,000 (£25,000 in the Christmas and Summer draws and £10,000 in the Spring and Autumn draws) 2nd prize £1,500, 3rd prize £750, 4th prize £100, 5th prize £50 and £10 for a further 995 runners up
How will I know if I've won?
The winners will be written to within 14 days of the draw date and names will also be posted on the website www.winwithcats.cats.org.uk/raffle-winners
There is no requirement to claim your prize.
How are the winning tickets picked?
All entrants put into an electronic draw and the numbers are selected at random, so everyone has an equal chance of winning.
What is the maximum number of tickets I can purchase in each raffle?
A maximum of £60 of tickets ie: 60 tickets in each draw, but if you would like to support us further, than please give a donation towards our vital work.
Can I Subscribe to the Cat Lovers Raffle?
Simply enter your details and tick the 'Subscribe to the Cat Lovers Raffle' icon and we will automatically enter you into each of our quarterly raffles for the same number of tickets and donations using the same payment details. We will write to you to confirm your entries in every draw and you can cancel at any time.
How can I get a subscription cuddly cat toy?
Simply sign up to our subscription raffle when you enter the raffle today and we will post you an exclusive Cat Lovers Raffle cuddly toy once your payment for the next raffle has cleared. For example if you chose to subscribe for future raffles when you entered the Summer Raffle 2022, your cuddly toy will be despatched upon receipt of your first subscription payment for the Autumn Cat Lovers Raffle in July 2022.
How can I cancel my Cat Lovers Raffle subscription?
You can cancel your Raffle subscription at any time by emailing lottery@cats.org.uk or calling the Cats Protection Helpline Number on; 01628 821 984. If you prefer, you can cancel in writing at the following address:

Can I play if I live outside the UK?
The Cat Lovers Raffle is only open to residents of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Please note that the Channel Islands are not included.
